Your challenge:

You work in an international and agile team striving for innovative class-leading photovoltaic products. Your task is to strengthen the analytical and characterization competencies within our team and apply those to evaluate current as well as future products and technologies. 

Releases new energy - your commitment:
  • You are responsible for characterization of solar cells and modules in our state of the art research laboratory in the vicinity of Leipzig.
  • You evaluate and develop physical characterization methods in order to answer challenging questions of the R&D team.
  • You are responsible for the technical and commercial assessment of technologies and development options.
  • You conduct competitor analysis.
  • You have successfully completed your engineering or science degree and ideally already gained some experience in the photovoltaics or semiconductor sector.
  • You are familiar with the variety of relevant methods for measuring and analyzing photovoltaics, e.g. luminescence, current-voltage characteristics, microscopy, electron microscopy (SEM, TEM, EDX) and have already applied some of those methods extensively.
  • You have a comprehensive overview of photovoltaic technologies in research and industry.
  • You routinely use simulation software (e.g. PC1D, Quokka) and ideally also have experience in big data and the application of machine learning methods.
  • You are goal oriented and employ a systematic and analytic work style.
  • Excellent English and very good German language skills round off your profile and enable you to work successfully in a global enterprise. You are willing to travel to our global production sites.
