From October 2022, our team in Dresden offers an opportunity for an

Intern: RF Hardware System Characterization (m/f/x)

NI is one of the leading manufacturers in the field of Software Defined Radios (SDR). An important prerequisite for the stable operation of SDRs is the performance of phase-locked loops (PLL). To extend test coverage, we are looking for a student at our Dresden R&D site to write measurement software and execute several test cases.

Your Tasks

• Create RF measurement software in LabVIEW and/or GNU Radio
• Write driver to control 3rd party equipment
• Documentation of the different development phases and achieved results

Your Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Student of electrical engineering, communication technology, computer science or comparable, in the 4th semester or higher
• Understanding of RF parameters
• Practical experience in programming
• Fluency in English
• Compulsory internship (duration: from 3 to 6 months)

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in Python
• Experience with RF measurements equipment (Signal Analyzer and Signal Generator)
• Experience in LabVIEW
