The Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig (HfTL) is a university owned by the HfTL Trägergesellschaft mbH – a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom which is recognised by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts. The university implements the concept of lifelong learning in academic training in its full-time, part-time, and co-operative degree programmes.
The HfTL offers an attractive learning environment. Practical, scientific training and well thought-out programmes mean that students may earn their Bachelor of Engineering/Science degree after six semesters or their Master of Engineering degree after four semesters.
The laboratories and PC-Pools feature excellent equipment enable optimal learning.
The library of the HfTL is operated together with the library of the University of Technology, Economics and Culture (HTWK) Leipzig. The fact that the HfTL has been at the top of the CHE ranking lists over recent years is further proof of the high teaching quality at the university.
The full-time degree programmes have been accredited by the accreditation agency for degree programmes ASIIN and are equivalent to programmes offered by public universities.
